Your Kind of Escape in Ireland
Ireland is small on a map and generous with weather, music and green. Dublin, the west and the south are different trips, and the island is a poor thing to rush.
I plan and book Ireland trips for travellers across Canada. This page comes from checked information, not a diary of my own trips. Most first visits work better as Dublin, then one base on the west, with room for a slow day when it rains.

A few highlights

The west, from one base
The Atlantic edge is why most people come, and it suffers when it is only a long day at the end of a drive. A few nights in Galway, or in Kerry, is the shape that works. The west

Dublin, then leave it
Two or three nights covers the river, the library and an evening in a pub. Temple Bar is the postcard. It is a lively place to wander, and a noisy place to sleep. Dublin
What to eat, the south, and the older sites are on the places page. See the places
Let’s plan your Ireland trip
Tell me who is travelling, how long you have, and whether you want Dublin, the west coast, or a slower countryside chapter. I’ll plan the bases, the train or the car, and the tickets worth booking before you fly.
